The Portico

The Portico bedside table takes its name from classical architecture. Directly translated from Italian as “porch,” a portico has come to describe a roofed structure supported by columns. The table’s form is defined by its two open tiers and four turned uprights which, together with careful proportioning and subtle detailing throughout, give the piece a quiet architectural presence.

TRADITIONAL MANUFACTURE

Traditional craft techniques have long been on the decline in the UK, undercut by cheaper global imports. But the quality production of the past is shown in the antiques we see today. We follow in their footsteps, producing furniture for generations to come.
